Welcome to our final newsletter for 2010!!

We sincerely wish every one of our customers and their families and friends a wonderful and safe festive season.

2010 has been a wonderful year for Mazda and our dealership – the Mazda brand continues to dominate the private buyer market and our customers have now awarded us with the ultimate level of recognition – the Hornsby Mazda Sales Team is ranked No.1 Nationally for Customer Satisfaction!

Great news – our Sales Team has some incredible offers available supported by Mazda’s 2010 model clearance – now is a very good time to investigate updating your current vehicle.

Great people and great training are key to any business and we are excited announce that Dylan O’Conner has just been awarded “New South Wales Apprentice of the year!!”

Our Workshop team are servicing more Mazda’s than ever before thanks to record new Mazda Sales – our team have a summer servicing suggestion to improve your comfort on those hot humid days.

After considering many concepts we are about to embark on renovations and expansion of our Mazda Service and Sales facilities – our team is very excited about the opportunity to better serve our loyal customers.

Hornsby Mazda’s Talent Shines

dylan award web Summer 2010Here at Hornsby Mazda all of our Apprentices attend Mazda’s specialist Apprentice training program rather than TAFE. At the training centre Apprentices learn everything they would at TAFE but they are being trained on Mazda’s.

This specialist training breeds a highly trained Technician who knows every aspect of your Mazda, and Hornsby Mazda is very proud of our second year apprentice Dylan O’Conner who last week was crowned Mazda NSW’s 2nd year apprentice of the year. Dylan has a great attitude towards his training and aspires to go on and become a Master Technician.

We have 3 Apprentices enrolled in the program and we are very committed to ensuring our staff are full trained and know every part of your car.

Take heart in the fact that our Technicians are being trained to work on your Mazda long before the cars are for sale, where at other service outlets they are training themselves whilst working on your car, I know which I’d prefer.

Summer Motoring Tip

It’s funny every year the first hot day we have and our customers start talking about the air conditioning doesn’t seem to work that well anymore, most of the time their air is working quite well, it’s more that we are not used to the hot weather. In saying that there are a number of things to look at in the air conditioning department and one of the most common issues these days is smells from system when switched on.

As the air conditioning system works it pulls the humidity out of the air and this turns into moisture which drains out under the car, this moisture creates a type of mould inside the box under the dash board and thus that’s the smell, I tell customers it like not opening the window in your bathroom, if you could imagine that. Lots of moisture and no air

We have a treatment process which can be carried out on your next service to solve the problem, please talk to your service advisor if your Mazda is getting a bit smelly.

Renovation Time – Temporary Move

service driveway 250 Summer 2010We are very excited about the renovations that are about to take place early next year in our Service Department. The overhaul will include new flooring, lighting, equipment plus a lot more space, this will see our dealership ready to cope with Mazda’s growing new car sales.

To make way for our renovations, we have temporarily moved next door into our old Ford Service department. To enter our Service Department please come down the driveway between the two Mazda buildings, and the office is located just to your right, we will still serve you in the driveway between 7.30 and 9.30 am.

To our valued customers please bear with us for the next few months or so whilst we create this fantastic new facility.
