Welcome to our Winter 2010 e-newsletter – an update on the world of Mazda in your local area.

2010 is proving another excellent year for Mazda with our local customer’s voting Mazda No. 1 – we sincerely thank our loyal customers who have been with us for many years and all the new owners joining the fabulous Mazda Brand for the first time.

Of course we are now counting down the days to the End of Financial Year and the deals are most definitely on – now is a great time to purchase a new Mazda – great offers across the range.

The new Mazda CX-7 and CX9 continue to excite our customers – outselling supply! We finally have more cars coming in so now is a great time to book a test drive – and possibly take advantage of an end of financial year deal.

Our Service Team are looking after the rapidly growing Mazda Brand – with more cars than ever sold in our local area the job is a big one. The guys would like offer a couple of helpful tips plus we have another of our informative owners nights approaching in August.

We were once again awarded the Mazda Master Dealer Award for 2009, which recognises Mazda dealers that offer the highest level of Customer Service for its clients, we were 2nd in the country which takes in every Mazda dealer Australia wide. We think this is something to be very proud of, and with the help of our many customers we are hoping to achieve it all again in 2010

No 2. – Saturday Morning Servicing

We offer saturday morning services from 7:30 am - 12 pm, something that isnt common among all the Mazda Dealers. Though you do have to book in early as spots are limited and do fill up fast. We are constantly book out for 4 – 6 weeks in advance.

No 3. – Location

We are located at 64 Pacific Highway Waitara less than a minutes walk to Waitara train sation, right on the North Shore line with direct trains to North Sydney and the CBD. Or if you prefer a 10 – 15 in walk to Hornsby including Hornsby Westfield and many other shops and eaterys.

No 4. – Shuttle Bus to Westfield

Our service department operates a courtesy shuttle service to the Hornsby area and Westfield.

Time Table is below:

Mon – Fri 7.30 am – 9.00 am on demand
Mon – Fri 9.30 am -  4.00 pm every 30 min

No 5. – Loan Vehicles

We have current model Mazda’s for use while your Mazda is being serviced. A small cost of $44 per day for insurance is payable.

Fuel Quality

Pumping Fuel1 Winter 2010Please be careful when buying petrol you could be pouring contaminated fuel into your tank.

Fuel is a man made product derived from organic deposits that have been refined.

Occasionally you could be the recipient of contaminated / dirty fuel as a consequence of poor management by you or others. There is always a nominal amount of water in your fuel accepted levels are .05% by volume this can be very different in some cases with leaks into underground tanks vapour leaks in to tanks and water ingress being delivered to the tanks.

Another issue is dirt and residues being stirred up on the bottom of a service station tank being poured into your tank, try and avoid getting fuel if a tanker is there doing a drop if possible. Sometimes getting dirty petrol is unavoidable and cars break down which is not covered by manufacturer’s warranty. We are often repairing fuel systems replacing such items as fuel pumps, filters removing fuel tanks for chemical cleaning to remove sediment and dirt and we are usually doing these types of repairs between 2 and 4 times per month, carrying out complete fuel overhauls.

Our best advice to our customers is stick with a regular service station, also try using the premium fuel if you can afford it, you will generally get quite a few extra kms per tank which will even out the price. Keep your receipts you will have a leg to stand on then if you have an issue, that way you can show proof of regular fill up.

Owners Night

Mazda Owner’s Nights are held twice a year to assist in familiarising new & existing Mazda owners with accurate information about the history & maintenance of their car as well as sharing our philosophy of Zoom-Zoom!

It’s a short but enjoyable and informative 1 and 1/2 hour evening. From 6.30pm attendees participate in a variety of workshop floor examples and become familiar with changing a tyre, what actually happens when you drop your car off for service as well as tips to maximise fuel consumption, engine oil and make your tyres and battery last longer.

We have run three (3) successful owners nights so far and are already busy planning our next one which we hope to host around August. If you would like to pre register your interest please click here
